In 2015, Luxembourg had the fortune to host Cartoon Digital, an event organised by CARTOON, an international nonprofit association that supports the animation industry with events for animation professionals.
During the December 2-4 event, nearly 100 participants listened to 29 speakers from the animation industry talk about important topics including how the internet opened creative potential and how it led to business opportunities for animation producers. The three-day seminar was opened by none other than Prime Minister Xavier Bettel. Luxembourg is an increasingly important co-production partner in the European animation industry, as evidenced by the high-quality animation work produced here, explained Marc Vandeweyer, general director of CARTOON, at the start of the event.
