In collaboration with the German Informatics Society and the Technical Committee of Environmental Informatics, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) organised the 31st edition of the EnviroInfo conference, which took place from September 13-15, 2017.

The event was held in the Neumünster Abbey which dates back to the 17th century and is one of Luxembourg’s most historic sites. Formerly used as a prison and a police station, today it’s a refurbished, modern centre for meetings and cultural events.

This renowned international and interdisciplinary conference series covers leading environmental information and communication technologies. The main topic of the conference was 'From Science to Society: the Bridge Provided by Environmental Informatics.' Covered were a variety of related topics ranging from cross-border collaboration, environmental modelling and simulation, to software tools for environmental databases.
