The medieval Vianden castle was built between the 11th and the 14th century and superbly restored starting 1977. It is nowadays one of the largest and finest feudal residences of the Romanesque and Gothic periods in Europe.
The Festivity Hall (Vic. Abens Hall) is a magnificent room, measuring 309 m2 (200 m2 usable surface) with a height of 6 to 7 meters. Access to the hall is provided by a beautiful portal, distinguished by a very fine early gothic architecture.
Six windows, of genuine gothic style light the majestic hall. Originally, the hall used to be equipped with two open fire places. Today, this hall is especially used for the cultural events as well as private, corporate receptions and banquets.
